De Verenigde Scholen J.A. Alberdingk Thijm is unique in that it combines primary and secondary education in one organization. The umbrella foundation comprises 7 secondary schools and 13 primary schools. 2 of the secondary schools are international schools running the International Baccalaureate programme and 2 are bilingual (TTO). Of the 13 primary schools, 7 offer an extensive Englisch programme from group 1 through 8 and 4 schools run the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Education at AT school is characterized by a holistic approach to the learning of children. The schools strive for modern education within an international context and in achieving this, make efficient use of ICT. School board and staff are all committed to constantly improving the learning of the children and maintaining a high standard of education.
