ASH (est.1953) is one of the most established international schools in the Netherlands. We are a private, not-for-profit institution that, atevery level of organization, focuses on enhancing the student learning experience. From Pre-Kindergarten through High School graduation, we encourage ASH students to take control of their own learning. ASH is the only school in the Netherlands offering both APand IB, and a fullinclusion program of support and enrichment. ASH students consistently outperform global averages, and supportedby our dedicated College Counseling Office, they find their way into esteemed institutions of higher education across the globe. Middle School Philosophy
We activate the joy of learning with a unique variety of opportunities from which to learn. Through on-site and off-campus curricular and co-curricular experiences, our students equip themselves with knowledge, skills and attitudes to help spark their interests and develop their passions. As they pass through the middle school milestones of exploring ideas, challenging thinking and practicing selfadvocacy, they develop a broader sense of themselves and their place in the world.

High School Philosophy
High school is about self-discovery, making connections, building relationships and channeling our collective energy. We learn concepts, skills and attitudes that help us develop our passions and prepare for our next steps in life. We also forge partnerships locally and internationally for collaboration, exchange of ideas and testing solutions for impact.

 

Middle School Curriculum
With enough flexibility to experiment and tailor their learning, our middle school students are confident and able to pursue their unique interests and learn in a way that is relevant to them. We embrace various types of learning experiences, including classroom learning, project-based learning, experiential learning, field work, and virtual collaboration. ASH is accredited by NEASC, founded on the principle that self-reflection and candid feedback are essential to ongoing educational success. Our curriculum is guided by the Common Core Standards to ensure transferability for our students and their families, as well as to provide a K-12 framework for learning outcomes.

High School Curriculum
